Blimey, has it really been four months since a post in here!?!?
I'm still trying, even though I know I should be resting. However, a few runs with the Metal recently and I'm only just breaking 10k, so I'm definitely far from on form. Haven't touched a 250Hz for a week or two though. I blame the weather...it's too hot to Powerball. Can't wait for the Winter! _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

Starting to get a bit more back onto form. Have had a couple of sessions lately where I've just about broken 13k with the 250Hz, but I've still been struggling with the Metal, sometimes only just able to get over 9k.
But my scores are getting nearly 11k with the Metal now. It's not actually called Liquid Magnesium, but I got some stuff from a sports shop called SureGrip. It's liquid, and dries to a white powdery coating, so I assume it's similar. That helps with my Metal grip SO much...almost TOO much...I almost stick to it, which is uncomfortable when I want to let go, especially during a 90s run. Still, at least I can now maintain a decent grip for a good 20 or 30 seconds when doing endurance, unlike in the past where I lost grip after only 7 or 8 seconds, and had to change hands far too often.
(My reverse rotation scores with my right using the Metal are still way ahead of my forward scores.) _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

Yes what you describe is the same as my " liquid chalk", or liquid magnesium, and it's name is Pure Grip.... _________________ Help Gyrotek when you buy your Powerballs, use our banner:International, France, Thanks!!

Well I've decided that I'm always going to use my SureGrip when going for any serious Metal Powerballing. Couldn't get a decent grip at all last night without it, and couldn't get over 10k before the Powerball left my hand. But a blob of SureGrip, spread over both my hands, and my grip became vice-like.
I didn't get any records...only got into the high 10ks with either hand, but I could keep the speed going for quite some time, which is what I really want with the Metal...I want to be able to do some decent endurance.
Anyway, James M, if you're reading this, and still down because you're off form, have you thought about trying a different grip method? A new grip would be like changing the direction of rotation...you would start using different muscles, and could probably get back onto form.
Last night, my best score with the Metal was with my left hand using a grip a bit like how I think Akis holds his Powerball - the inside knuckle of my thumb pressed on the edge of the counter, my little finger and ring finger over the rotor a bit. I can't explain it, but I was just able to get more speed this way, and it felt nicer. With that grip using my right hand I also managed a score better than my normal grip. Not much better...10.9k as opposed to 10.8k, but still better.
The annoying thing is, I was getting to this speed very easily, and could keep it going for 10 or 15 seconds, but I couldn't drive it faster. It was strange...bloody good workout though!! _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

I am just waiting on my new Powerball Neon White Pro Signature to arrive from amazon.co.uk, however it should really have arrived by now, but should be waiting for me at work on Monday so I can show it off to my work mates.
When I was younger (am now 20) my dad had one of the original styles, not even sure it was a 'Powerball', but I used to be quite good, and look forward to getting back into it.
