Hi guys,
It has been some time ago since you guys heard of me. No, I am not dead, I just have been quite busy with job applications and so on. Luckily, I did not loose my interest in powerball . Here are some photos of the latest powerballI I bought, the SUPERPOWERBALL GOLD. And when I say gold, I mean real gold, 18 carat .
The price is 269 euros without a counter and 279 euros with a counter.
The edition will be very very limited as they told me, so a real collectors item.

No video yet. It works quite the same as a normal metal though.
And yes, you are right it does have decorative function, what is true for a lot of collectors items I think

There's a gold-coloured rotor on the box for the Metal, and Enda said he had some of those, and I was quite keen, but never got hold of one. _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

The gold version you are referring to is a prototype of the high-speed metal (the screamer). A pity that this product is still not on the market

It actually feels very similar to the normal metal. I haven't had the opportunity yet to measure their weights. The powerball is not made purely from gold you know, only the outer surface is made of gold. I'll get back to you on this one.

Ok guys. I did a product info request at mill-products.com and here is the story.
The Superpowerball Gold has nothing to do with Nanosecond. Basically, they are just superpowerballs which have undergone some extra treatment by a different company. This company disassembles the superpowerball and removes the chromium from both the rotor and the shell. Then the superpowerball is gold plated and reassembled. The weights of both powerballs are therefore very similar. Due to this process the delivery time of the superpowerball is about 2 weeks as they have a very limited stock of this type intentionally. At this moment mill-producs.com is the only place on earth where you can buy them.
It is also possible to get the powerball engraved with texts or signatures, but this costs extra. The guy from mill-products will let me know how much extra that will be.

I'd quite like to have one with just the chrome-plating removed! I filed the sharp edges of mine down, (as I use it without the rubber grip and the two halves didn't join cleanly). At first there was a copper colour underneath, and then I got down to the bare metal. I'm tempted to sand the whole thing down to make it like brushed steel rather than polished steel. _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)
