Hey guys, remember someone posted a link to the GyroMeter recently, when we were talking about analysing software on the PC to determine the revs on a Powerball? I know Obiw4n tried it, and so did I, but we weren't able to get a successful response from it.......until this evening!!

I had a play, turned the volume up to full on my microphone, broke out my loud (old) Powerball, and bingo, the software recorded the actual RPM of my Powerball, accurate to within about 0.05 to 0.2%!

I had to hold the Powerball within about 6 inches of the microphone, but was only testing it at about 9000 to 10000 rpm, so the sound wasn't huge. I'll try it at top speed another time.

To see one result, check out the GMail account...I'm going to send a video there. (I've tried taking a screenshot, but just don't have the software on my home laptop.)

I don't want to take away from the sterling work that mroek has done on the Powerballalyzer, and I actually think that probably works better than GyroMeter. But the display on GyroMeter clearly shows that the software can be written to directly display the revs as a number, rather than a graph.

hi, Adrena1in i have a rproblem with the gyrometer. i cant install it. i have wxp and i think that in this so not run. i try to make compatible changing the compatibility but i cannot install it. can yo say me how to install correctly? thanks
