Many times now someone has submitted a score to PB.com which is huge, and I've asked for video evidence...a few times a video is provided, but just turns out to be a counter error. I'm always disappointed.
Someone from the Russian Powerballs site just emailed me to say they have someone who's a 14k Powerballer, and who has recently submitted a 15k and then a 16k score. Seemed like the best possibility that we had a challenger for Akis.
I looked at the 16237 video, and it wasn't even over around 13400 rpm I don't think. (Sigh) _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

This really triggers me.
How many of the top100 scores are faulty? I mean...it just does not feel good if people can submit top50 scores without any verification except a photo.
RPM sports should figure out who submitted a video and kick out all those who did not do it. That's what I think.

The Force, you're right that the rules should be more strict, and we have now stated that all 14k+ scores need video evidence. But it would be a mammoth task to go through all of them and remove any that haven't included videos.
Plus I don't think it would be fair. When people submitted those scores the rules didn't state that video evidence was necessary, so we can only change the rules for new scores, not previous ones.
Most of the scores we have to refuse are 15k+. I've only ever rejected one 14k score based on video evidence - (someone submitted a 15200 video which clearly wasn't more than about 11k, so I removed his 14k score as well.)
I don't know of any fake scores in the Top 100, but I would guess there aren't more than 5 perhaps.
Plus does it really matter, in the big scheme of things? If someone's going to win a prize and perhaps a mention in the comments, then that person will only do so by submitting a video.

It's funny you comment on this.
I wasn't going to submit my score to PB.com because it wasn't a video of me actually getting my high score. I was quite surprised to see I had managed to break 14K, so wasn't recording it. When I did record it, I only managed 13,990. I was going to wait until I broke my record again, on video, but when I saw there was only one more place left in the top 100 that was below 14K, I decided I had to help out and push the whole top 100 over 14K. So I submitted my score.
I was thinking about this and was wondering how many people are on there with only a picture because of a situation like me. (Surprised when you get a score high enough, and not recording it.) I'm hoping to improve my score, but now I'm recording my attempts just in case I manage to break my score again. This time I want there to be a video link to my record. ~LOL~

A lot of the scores on there that are over 14k were submitted before the rule about video evidence was required. 13795 used to get you in the Top 100, (when there only WAS a Top 100), and there were only 20 or 30 over 14k. 14k scores also used to only require a high-res photo, and only Top 10 scores required a video.
It wasn't until The Force made the point that it was a bit of a farce, and that anyone could cheat and post a score of around 14500, that the new rules came into place.
But as for your situation...a score just over 14k with a video of 13990 would be fine...the video evidence only actually needs to show at least 98% of the score being achieved. Look at Pako's record video for example...it doesn't show his actual record. Same for my 17234 Strength score...the video for that, (which I've removed), only showed 17141.
Well done though, for being the one to fill the Top 100 with 14k+ scores.

Thanks!
I hope to soon have a video of me achieving an even higher score.
My current score is still not in the top 50, and only 4th for Canadians, so I have a ways to go yet!
