TIPS FOR A 1 HANDED START

Hello ,
After watching the videos of the one handed starts i decided to have a go. I can manage a spin of around 1250rpm but then it just dies on me!!!

Any tips on the first stages after the initial spin up?

I don't think there is any tips for that. You just have to find the good movement to accelerate the ball. If you are a right-hand person, a faster start can be easier if you do it with your right thumb.

You can start the ball with the other hand, but just with a very slow movement, everytime trying to start it with a slower movement, so when you try to start it using just one hand you´ll be used to start it with a slow movement and it can help you. Smile

Concentration is very important too and of course practicing a lot. Razz

I have now cracked the 1 handed flick start! After an hour of trying it this morning it just came to me and now i can do it almost every time :-)

Strange how it seems like you will never crack it and then all of a sudden you can do it.

Also beat my PB :-) My scores now are:

left - 11788
right - 12868

deffo gonna crack 13000 soon.
Not bad after only 2.5 weeks of powerballing.
