I got a gripmaster black yesterday. I was surprised how easy it was to squeeze it together, no challenge at all. It can be nice as a warm up and it also works if you want to train each finger individually.
Today I bought a RB (Robert Baraban) gripper from a local Budo&Fittness store. I got one that takes 130lbs of pressure to close. The black gripmaster takes 9lbs per finger so it is a huge difference. The gripmaster is more comfortable for the hand though. I guess my hand have to get used to rough metal handels of the RB gripper.
If you seriously want a better a grip then the RB gripper seem like a better choice to me but I dont know if it will improve my powerballing. We'll see about that.
There's a bunch of reviews of grippers here:

Sorry mate, but you are comparing apples with bananas here. The gripmaster is a device with which you can train each finger separately. Especially your little finger is a weak finger normally. I can press the little finger with the black, but only just. And if you make 30 repetitions with that finger it sure is a hard exercise.
Moreover, the gripmasters enables exercises you can't do with the other hand exercise products as these are meant for squeezing with the full hand at the same time.

I already have my 2 grippers. ^_^
A blue one and a black one.
For my little fingers even the blue one is a bit hard. With the other fingers specially with the index and middle fingers I don´t have any problem even with the black one, but I make several repetitions with them, as The Force tell, so they can suffer a little.

I agree, the gripmaster can be good for some exercises. I did write "...it also works if you want to train each finger individually."
I just think it would be better if it had more resistance. It says heavy tension but compared with grippers like the RB gripper I bought it's not heavy at all.
I would recommend people who wants to buy a grip device to go to a local store and try one out. It's hard to know what you'll get when you just order one online.
I must say it was nice of mill-products to make this special offer and with free shipping also!

Did you already try to press two or three buttons with one finger?
On mill-products.com you can see what I mean with this exercise.

Hi,
I own some captains of the crush hand grippers. I got these ones:
"Trainer" --> 100 lb. (= 45 Kg)
#1 ---> 140 lb. (= 63 Kg)
#2 ---> 195 lb. (= 88Kg)
I haven't trained much with them, due to my finger injuries. But I couldn't resist it and give #2 a try I could almost close it. These grippers are serious stuff (as well as the Phantom)... be careful!
Next time I will buy #3 (280lb.) and #4(365lb.); Bear in mind that only 5 guys in the world can close #4
