Ok lets see, I'll need your feedback in order to determine if the metal size would be a biggy for me.

My hands measure 18.7 centimeters from the start of my palm to the tip of my middle finger.

Middle finger: 8 cm
palm: 10.7 cm

Anyone here has smaller hands?

Well I thought I had big hands, but mines are not much bigger: 20 centimeters.

Middle finger: 8.5 cm (from hand line to end of finger)
Palm: 11.5 (from wrist line to middle finger line)

It could be interesting these measures. It reminds me of a very expensive machine I have in gym that is able to measure muscular mass, fat mass, etc..., and even the weight of each arm and leg :-) It didn't calculate *all* parts of the body Laughing

Ok..here my right hand's dimensions Very Happy

Total length: 20.5cm

Little finger: 6.8cm
Ring finger: 8.0cm
Middle finger: 8.5 cm (from hand line to end of finger)
Pointing finger: 8.1cm
Thumb: 7.2cm

Palm: 12cm (from wrist line to middle finger line)
Width of hand: 9.5cm (measured close to fingers)
Width of hand: 10.8cm (measured near wrist with stretched thumb from left side to first thumb line)

One important remark..my fingers are relatively thick which reduces the effective length when bending my fingers (I think Smile )

Regards,

The Force

How bizarre this all is! Confused

Before I measure mine, I would just like to mention that I put the Metal rotor into a 250Hz casing last night. It was definitely slightly easier to grip, but not as much as I expected. I expected to be able to still hold on fairly easily at 11k, but I wasn't...the Powerball still tried to ease its way out of my grasp at those revs. So it's not that the Metal casing is simply too big...it's just that I'm too weak to cling on at those revs. Embarassed

Anyway, here's my left hand...it's pretty much the same as my right;

My palm has 17cm and my middle finger 7.5cm, but when I tried the metal I could make a good grip with it, the only "problem" is the great forces that it produces, but for me the slight bigger size was not a problem.

Your hand is smaller, but your fingers are thinner, maybe that helps?

Why don't you ask your friend to let you use the metal and see what score can you do? You said that it has no counter, right? why don't you use a counter form a regular.. they fit the same, don't they?

Maybe it helps. The thing is that when I started to use the regular Powerball I had problems with my grip, but while using it I have improved. Smile

I don´t see this guy very often and when I tried his metal Powerball we made an appointment specially for this.
He told me that he was trying to remove the plastic cover to put the digital counter, but he couldn´t remove it.
I don´t know if he has already done it. If he has the digital counter I´ll ask him to make another appointment to see what score I can do. Smile
Anyway I´m also hoping to reach 13k soon in order to get a free metal Powerball as a prize. Wink

Well....it's true of course. What is important for powerballing is not only long fingers, but also a firm grip. The first thing you cannot train, but the second thing you can.

The Force

I thought I had the smallest hands in the forum, but that "honor" goes to Adrena1in (so far, but bigger fingers), still i think I have the smallest hands of all the 14k+ Powerballers.

Now that I have somewhat managed to get confortable grip with the PB counter models, I don't have problems with the ball like squeezing out of my hand, I feel my grip firm, but I do think that a bigger ball would give me problems and would take some time readjusting my grip and perhaps I won't feel as confortable.

Adding it up I've used a PB for a total of 11 -12 weeks, it took me 8 of those to find a confortable, strong grip.

I certainly don't have any problems with a regular PB...in fact, I sometimes think my hands are almost a perfect fit. I've heard of some people whose hands are too big and their fingertips touch the rotor.

But I do have a problem with the Metal. I know I can go higher than 11.5k and 13.9k in 90s. I'm going to give it a try with gloves...will try and get some of those surgical gloves.

You're tempting me into buying a metal. I see your fingers are a bit longer than mine but not much, the issue now would be the price.

I hope that I have no problems gripping the ball if I do get one, I believe that having a metal will finally make me train, and than would mean better scores.

I believe I'm having this issue.. Just measured my hand, 9cm middle finger, 21 from tip to wrist line. Curious if anyone has any suggestions for how exactly I should grip it. Problem is my hands begin to sweat quickly also. This makes gripping tightly an issue, either hand slides around from sweating, or holding tightly I occasionally end up hitting the rotor.. Gripping sideways seems to work fairly decently, but I eventually slow down when I feel my thumb slipping towards the rotor..
