Hi Moose,
Just have a look at my interview on this website , you will find my beginner scores there. But I can say...yours are really not that bad. I think we might have gained another powerball talent here .
Keep spinning them fast,

I think my first score was about 9000 revs when I got the Powerball going, (after about 40 minutes of trying!), and I could last for about 20 seconds before my muscles were screaming. Now I can keep it going at that speed for over an hour, swapping hands every so often.
I've been quite a slow improver. Some people get to over 14000 in just a few weeks, (and I loathe natural Powerballers like that!) _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

Slow improver or not...as long as you improve you should be happy. For me it has been over 3 months ago since I did my 14k+ speed record

I just managed an 11185 with my left hand, which is odd, because I have only tried using the ball with my left hand a few times, and my technique is not very good.
With my right hand I did a best of 10973 (so close to the 11k mark).
I am realising how important technique is once you get up to the higher scores... I find by keeping my whole forearm tensed it helps improve the speed.

Indeed, if you try to get the speed from your wrist movement while holding your underarm as tight as possible you get higher scores.
Do not forget to do endurance training as well. That basically lifts "the floor" of your performance. Moreover, a few minutes after a nice endurance training may give you the "HOT MODE" as Akis calles it. At one day I broke my record with my right hand with not less than 500rpm!! (from 13600 to 14100) right after a 90sec endurance run.
Good luck with beating your brothers score.
