Don't worry, I'm not over-doing it with the Metal...just a small amount of use is painful enough! Wink I've only done three 90s runs and about 20 top speed runs in the week I've had it...less than I would do in one evening with a regular Powerball, yet still it hurts. I think it's probably because it's that much bigger...the grip is different. (Might put the rotor in a regular Powerball case some time to see what I can manage.)

As for your new record The Force, perhaps it was the sleeveless tee-shirt that helped...tends to be what Akis wears! I don't have one, but now my arms are a bit bigger than they used to be, (thanks to the Powerball), perhaps I should get one and see if I can break my record soon! Wink

damn! I will REST as much as I can and re-start my extreme endurance training. I like it more than speed runs. I MUST recover 2nd place and hunt for Akis.

I also start to enjoy the Metal, but will have to be very careful, my weak fingers r driving me crazy Confused

Pako.

Hi there and thanks for the warm welcome!

I've been following the Gyrotek league for a while now and decided to join the forum as it seems to be as friendly as the powerballs.com forum.

Sorry about my 90-sec submission, Pako. You're still legendary, and wil always be. You've been immensely stimulating for me to keep on trying and I have the utmost respect for your performance. I hope you will enjoy the friendly competition that has emerged. I've been working hard om my left-handed endurance. I figure that if you do the same, you'll hit 18.5k and possibly pass 19k before I do. I know it's not encouraging to train something you're not good at (i.e. left-handed endurance), but in the end it'll help you a lot.

Good luck and kind regards,
Dennis

Welcome to the gyrotek forum Dennis Wink

Nice 90s score, mine was an Ed tech score, which is actually 2nd on the top strength scoreboard, nothing comparable then...

But nevertheless one day or another I ll train my endurance again to increase my scores in non ed tech maybe... Smile

How much do you train in a week for such a good progress of your scores? and how do you train?

Hi Manudo, nice to see you here too! Wink

Well, Obiw4n, I've been Rock Climbing for three-and-a-half years now. I think that has helped me a lot to rocket up the Score Boards. Don't know for how long I will be able to maintain this momentum; aiming for 15k of course (who isn't, eh?). I train 2 to 3 times a week between 2 climbing sessions each week. Try to get my rest as well, because I think that is one of the keys to success. It's hard to lay down the little orbs, but I've found a way to resist their calls (by putting them away in the cabinet).

For the rest, I'm still exploring many different techniques. I don't know if you've followed the powerballs.com website, but many submission of mine were done with totally different techniques. I now have found one with which I might be able to break the 250Hz barrier. We'll see in the next couple of weeks (months?).

Good luck guys (and girls of course)! I enjoy this kind of competition very much!
Dennis

Well Obiw4n, I don't underestimate newbies. Some of them have shown tremendous increments in very short notice.

Indeed, Manudo, we'll see who becomes the 5th 15k+ PowerBaller. Don't know for sure whether it'll be one of us, though...

Kind regards,
Dennis

Hi,

Welcome to this forum Dennis.

I'm pleased I've been one of your stimulating factors to improve so much. Ranking was dead until guys like you came. And that is also stimulating for me. I got a friend (ToomsXS) that practises rock climbing, but he is too lazy, I try to stimulate him, but it's hopeless (come on! Tooms!! get back and "climb" like Dennis does!!!) Laughing

Dennis a écrit:

I always enjoy these competitions. I think the most important thing is to beat yourself. That's first thing for me. Secondary is to win others Cool

I know that if I improve with my left I could do 19k, I am pretty sure. But I've tried so many times... my left is so dumb and pathetic, with caotic technique, that sometimes i surrender and forget about it. I could try endurance with left, but using pathetic technique is worthless. I'm trying to change technique on left, and because of that my original pathetic technique has been affected: I could get 13k almost any time, now it feels imposible. I'd like to use pulse-tech too, but the coordination is so pathetic that the arm loses control inmediately Confused

But I will not surrender.. i must do it!!

If you have any suggestions on how to acquire coordination, I'd be glad to try them all.

go go go Dennis!! go go go go up to 15k and more!!! Razz

regards,
Pako.
