I think those goals are perfectly realistic. You've got great endurance skills, (6134 in 30s is very good), and your scores are very similar with both hands...which helps a lot.

You just need to pace yourself. I've done hundreds of endurance runs, and I know how to pace myself well to keep at a good constant speed, without going off too fast at the start.

I think your endurance performance is currently better than mine. This 6134 I did only with my left hand (once). The other hand score is the same as yours.

In answer to you question about how i went from 14651 to 15188, it was smaller steps but all during the same session. I was doing a record only practice session, and i all the sudden got 14700's on my second run. I then got out my camera and started really going after it. After a few runs i got into 14800's. Then i got a couple of 14900's. Then i rested a little while (about 10 min) powerballing only with my left hand, and when my right hand felt good, i went for it and pushed really hard and was finally able to hit the 15188. I tried a few times after that to up it more but could only get about 14900's, and then started dropping off fast because i was so tired.

I do agree with what you said about warming up. I dont get those high scores untill my body is nice and warm. Like the day that i got the 15188, i had just got done cutting the grass, usually takes about an hour to pushmow. So i was already warm. And i didnt get that 15188 for at least 45min into this session, which overall took about an hour.

I would also agree that you goals are perfectly realistic. All you have to do is push yourself hard and you should get them![/quote]

My previous best was 13984, in a break I had from working on my PC, i was sitting in front of my pc.

Then I scored 14478, while waiting for my wife sitting on the car outside the market... and after several attemps.

And believe it or not, those are my top two scores. I'm usually around 13500. And in the last 5 days I haven't hit 13K with my older ball.


A friend of mine also feels he does better while sitting.

Maybe your 14400+ is a counter bug because I would be really surprised if I were in the same case... It's really weird...

Big jumps of that magnitude aren't uncommon. I know it's not in the same league, but I spent ages and ages and ages trying to get over 12,000 a long time ago. Would hit 11,900 repeatedly, and twice I JUST managed to get exactly 12006. A bit later, after some endurance, I did a run which I thought was just about going to be over 12000 again, and the counter read 12802.

The other night too, I was doing some good 13 and 13.1k runs, and then, without it feeling like I'd gone much higher, the counter was flashing 13579. Another run after that, which felt good, was only reading 12669.

I can usually tell what sort of speed I achieve, but occasionally I'm very surprised.

I never get scores above +200 rpm comparing to what I meant to achieve...that's why it seems so weird for me...

Counter bugs are very rare. As far as I am aware of there is this famous 15k+ score bug. Others I never heard of.

Luckily we have the sound of the powerball which helps us to verify the score.

Everytime I made a record I heard it BEFORE I saw the score on the counter.

I'm currently on the board at 69 with 13984 (neon red), the 14478 RPM score was achieved on October 10th., I've submitted my score and photo on two occassions, and both times I was email by Rory asking me to submit a 600x600 picture which I did on both occassion attaching 3 different pictures.

I suspect there is a problem, I think my emails are being filtered because I have emailed RPM sports on at least six different occasions including the last two, and never had an answer. Perhaps someone can help me out with this.


Now regarding the two best scores, I do believe those are legit. The 15000+ scored on the Tecnho back in june I do believe was a counter error, because I didn't feel it was my best spin and the sound was not comparable to the one emited on the akis video.

The reason I believe my scores are legit is because I have an awful hardtime getting the rythm at 13000+ RPM, for me this means feeling the torque increase as you do incresase your own movement. That 14478 score really felt it. Most of the time I get those 13000+ but don't feel the torque, and my arm tires quicker when no resistance is felt.

With the Techno I experienced something very disappointing, I was my first PW, and quickly found out there was no scoreboard for them, I had trouble reading the scores the first day an a half, after the third day of using it, I found out there was something wrong with it, the best score I could read was around in 12800, the dissapointing part is that I was spinning the ball a lot harder than that, but the ball would shut off all it's leds after certain speed. In other words, I could make the ball shut off at will just by spinning is very hard... and by holding back the highest score I got was about 13200+, so that 15200+ I scored was very weird because I didn't give my best effort on that spin, and expecting the leds to shut off surprisingly they didn't and displayed the 15000+ score.

I can tell you that the Techno delivered more torque than any of the powerballs I've used, and I belive that is directly related to the size of the ball and the size of my hand.

It is so recognisable what you say about RPM sports and the fact that they do not respond.

I have sent so many emails and only a very very few have been answered. It's either their spam filter doing this or their email backlog is HUGE.

Now, about your 14k+ score. The reason why your score doesn't get uploaded is probably not the fact that your photos aren;t good enough. The point is that you need video evidence of your score in order to be placed. When you have submitted a score you will enter a new window in which you get a reference number. Well, you should always make a note of this reference number. Then you have to grab your video to your PC make an acceptable file format of it (let's say below 10MB) and send it to RPM sports (info@powerballs.com). That's basically it.

P.S. One day I also set a score on a Techno of 14161rpm, while my max score on a regular was 13500 at that time. I did not believe I did this until I repeated it lateron with a close score 14064 (at that time my max score on the regular was also 14k+). The funny thing is that I don't manage to achieve these scores anymore, 13000 seems to be the limit. And yes, the Techno creates more torque for sure. The rotor is somewhat more heavy. However, the fact that the counter is not on the top enables you to get a better hold on it so that increases your score somewhat again.

The rules state that scores ranking as one of the top 10 need to have an accompanying video. If it's over 14000 then it needs a good quality picture, emailed to Powerballs, to give more proof. tlk's score would currently take 16th place I think, so it could be that the emails aren't getting through.

I email Rory occasionally, and rarely do I not get a response. Sometimes it takes a few days, but I always get a reply.
