About access to the Gmail videos

You certainly know some people send videos to our Gmail adress which is :

gyrotek@gmail.com

Some people ask if it is possible to get an access to this mail box in order to see the videos there as soon as they are sent.

It is for sure an interesting thing for a passionate powerballer to see the technique of other people, have a quick access to the most recent videos submitted etc...

But it is also important for me , administrator of the scoreboards on Gyrotek to keep this mailbox alive, and not to let anyone have access to it...I hope you understand my point of view.

My main goal is first to keep this mail box reserved for Gyrotek members, and not every member, here is a list of things which are required:

- Be a Gyrotek member
- Be addicted to Powerball ( otherwise no need to see vids so quickly...)
- You regularly visit Gyrotek, and participate actively to the forum discussions, to the monthly scoreboards and to the Live Competitions.

Not absolutely required but always checked:

- Number of posts here: min 50
- Member of Gyrotek for at least a few months...

hey Tstering,

use browser: "www.gmail.com"

btw, when I send my videos I use that same account and send to myself. And then, I "label" the message with the corresponding label. To do this: I select message and choose from "More actions" the label I want to set. If it's a new user you can add another (see bottom of the list). Just be careful when u select one message to add a label, to deselect it, before u select another message to apply another label (or else the previous selected message will have more than one label).

One more thing... when I log to the account, I see some spam messages that I delete. I hope none of the videos people sent were there ;-) I just want to maintain it clean.

We have 2814MB of space... 88% is in use. Maybe we should think about another account to store old videos?

I guess I am about 2 out of 3 on the requirements. I am a Gyrotek member (been a member for a while now). I am addicted to Powerball (ask anybody who knows me. I visit the Gyrotek forum every few minutes during my waking hours, except for breakfast lunch and dinner - (one has got to eat of course.)

I still have to work on participating more on the forum, but now that I have started to post here, that's no problem now. Just started to submit to the Monthly scoreboards. I still have to try the Live competitions. That one could be tough based on my work schedule though. I can spare a few minutes here and there during the workday for my own record breaking runs (can't help it). Maybe I'll get a chance to try the Live competitions sometime. I'm still a Gyro-tek Newbie for now.

I think it's a little bit early , even if you are a member for a few months, your first post was on January 23th only...so I think we can wait a little bit longer try to join us at the live competitions too!

I was wondering yesterday about the idea of creating another account, (or two or three), to archive off the older videos. I was also wondering about deleting some of my own older ones, like my first Metal scores, as they're really not needed anymore and I'm starting to put a few of them on YouTube. (I'm actually putting my "important" ones on YouTube, such as certain score-barriers achieved.)

So I'm happy for anything of mine over about 4 or 5 months old to be removed.

I would save all older videos. I sometimes like to watch old videos and remember old days :-)

gmail has plenty of space... we can move to other accounts to archives videos.

And would be nice to include also ALL Akis videos, labeled properly.. not only the ones that are online on powerballs.com, but also his old records... all of them impressive.

Great idea Obiw4n. I've been wanting to collect a larger archive of videos for a while now... I meet all the requirements at least a little bit. The only bad point being that I'm not at the live competitions much, but I try to as often as I can - I have very limited access to a computer.
