My brother recently beat me with a score of 12775. So I was really mad and had a major session yesterday for record breaking. All I came up with was this though, 3 lousy rpm away.  But hey, at least it is a new personal right hand record. Also, this score was made spinning counter-clockwise, again surpassing the opposite direction.

Nice one installed! 
I remember when I was this close to 13k...I hit 12991 on 16th January 2005, and it took me two more months to get over 13k. But don't let that worry you, I'm sure you'll do it sooner!

Right hand counterclockwise. I improved my technique which helps a lot. It's sorta the same way that Bjorn does.

Minor adjustments can sometimes make all the difference, but it's interesting to see your technique comparisons. I think mine is a bit like Pako's, sitting down with arm almost straight and down towards the floor, but the other day I tried some standing up, with my arm pointing downwards and forwards, a bit like Dennis or Blaise. Still managed 13800+.

It's good to read that my videos inspire others to optimize and hone their techniques. I've adopted and tested many different techniques over time. Took me a while to perfect the one I currently apply. I'm quite satisfied with this particular technique as it gives me better and more consistent scores in a relatively controlled way. Still, it may not be the best technique, so I keep on exploring. I've not mastered Bjorn's technique yet (though I'm working on it). Possibly I'll never be able to use Bjorn's because, in contrast to him, I spin clockwise. Therefore, I have more faith in an Akis-like technique; if only I were as muscular... 
Anyway, keep on practicing and don't hesitate to adopt another technique when you feel you're stuck at a certain speed for several weeks. However, don;t be too hasty; take some time to get used to a new technique before you decide to replace it with another one.
