My technique is quite different.
I've read many of the topics here regarding techniques, but haven't yet found anyone with one similar to mine.
First off, I'm not a big person, so naturally thought I would have more difficulty getting good scores. I'm 5'8 (1.72Meters.) and 155 Lbs (70 Kg).
My arms are not large and I would hesitate to call myself strong.
My technique is difficult to describe. I tend to hold my arm up (as if cheering) and hold the powerball above the level of my head. I also get my best scores while sitting. Both Obiw4n and Pako have seen a video of my technique, and both seem to agree that it's the first time they've seen it.
I also do not practice anywhere near as long or hard as others here. I usually only go for a couple of 15 - 30 minute runs a couple of times a week. Each run consists of a number of speed attempts, and a couple of endurance runs.
With this, I have a top score of 14,208 with my left hand (dominant hand) and a top score of 13,416 with my right hand (non dominant hand).
I'd be interested in hearing if anyone else has used a technique similar to this, or if anyone can suggest ideas for me to improve my speed and endurance.

The video is here:

The video is 6.4 MB in size, so a high speed connection, or lots of patience is required.

Hi Chris,
I am sorry, but your technique is not new. I sometimes use it as well, because I am quite strong in that position. I manage quite decent scores with it (11500+ with metal, and 13500+ with regular).
But I agree...the technique is weird
Regards,
The Force
P.S. But one advice...don't hold the powerball loosely as you do (i observe that from the rattling noise at the switching and while you show the score...it destroys the powerball if you do that. _________________ Personal records:

I've not seen that video, but I think Kuren Charles, who's in the Top 100, perhaps uses a similar technique. I saw a video of his once when he had his hand straight up, I think right through his run.

I've seen the video now, and yes, from what I remember it's pretty much the same as Kuren Charles. (His video used to be accessible on the Powerballs.com website, but I can't see it now. I'll try and find out if it's still there, hidden, or what the link was.) Would definitely like to see you doing a Dual-Hand run, with a Powerball in each hand. You'd either look like you were surrendering, or signalling for a touchdown!
I think, because I've always held my arm downwards since I started, this is the position where I can attain the best speed. However, when I'm doing any extended endurance, where I'm maintaining around 10000 rpm for 20 to 60 minutes, I find I can do it with my arm in most positions, (as long as it's mostly straight...I can't do it very well with a bent arm.) And moving my arm to different positions helps exercise different muscles, which is good. _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)
